We need to look at three, even four, simple things when it comes to survival.
Water, food, shelter and protection really should be in there but it’s not a have too.
*Something for water purification (there are tablets and life straws both work well)
*You need food but you can’t carry bulk all the time so small high calorie, high protein bars and things of that nature is what you’re looking for, even MRE’s like the military eats are perfect. Everyone's taste is not the same and we may think some things taste terrible but keep in mind there are some protein bars with 3600 calories per bar that’s more than the average person needs in one day
*Shelter, in a chaotic situation you’ll never be able to stay in doors at all times, so think of tents, sleeping bags, and bivvies, these are small portable one person ones that don’t take up much room
