Our ministry leader and prison chaplain, Edward Kemei serves as prison chaplain in Kapenguria, Kenya and his wife, Jennifer serves along his side.
They both work with prisons in Kapenguria and Kitale.
Edward serves the prisoners, the guards and their families. He strives to see each one succeed. They have baptisms, he ordains men coming out of prison to be ministers, he buys them a suit of clothes when leaving prison, he takes them home upon their exit from prison and ministers to their families as well.
Wherever there is a need, you will see Edward and Jennifer both working to help others.
In December 2019 he registered his ministry and named it, Hope Set Free, with the soul purpose of reaching inmates, ex-inmates and unreached parts including those affected by drugs and those in danger of deep thoughts that might lead to suicide.
We are very blessed that over the years, since 2012, even before Cook Ministries was established, that Edward has been a part of our family and we are blessed to call him, Jennifer and their children, not only friend, but family.
